Terms of Service
Version 3.0 · Effective July 12, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Novera governing your use of novera.gg, api.novera.gg and related services during Season 0 open access. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Novera.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
- By accessing or using Novera you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
- You must be at least 16 years old, or have the consent of a holder of parental responsibility.
- You must also comply with the terms of Discord and of the relevant game publishers (e.g. Riot Games) when using features that rely on them.
2. The service
- Novera is an independent competitive platform for mobile esports, currently focused on TFT and Wild Rift competition.
- Season 0 account access is open through Discord login, but the service is still evolving: features may change, be limited, reset, or be temporarily unavailable.
- We may add, modify, suspend or discontinue parts of the service at any time where needed for security, operations or product development.
3. Accounts, sessions and access
- Accounts are created through Discord OAuth; you are responsible for keeping your Discord access secure.
- Each person may hold and use one account only. Account sharing, selling or transferring is prohibited.
- Certain tournaments or features may still require an event access code, region, verified Riot ID, trust level, check-in or other eligibility requirements.
- Invite links and invite codes are used for attribution, analytics and rewards. They are not a guarantee of access to every feature or event.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Identity verification
- Some features require verifying a Riot ID or setting an in-game name; you must provide accurate, truthful identity information.
- Impersonating another player, using another person’s game identity, or "smurfing" to evade ratings or restrictions is prohibited.
- Verification data is processed as described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Tournaments, ladders and competition
- You must follow tournament rules, check-in windows, round locks, match-room instructions and organizer decisions.
- Match results may be entered by players, checked against Riot data where available, verified by screenshots/evidence or corrected by staff.
- In Wild Rift, both players may be required to confirm map outcomes and the winner may be required to upload screenshots or champion-pick information when Fearless Draft or evidence rules apply.
- Disputes are reviewed by organizers or referees; their decisions within the platform are final for the purposes of the competition.
- We may reschedule, pause, lock, void, correct, restart or cancel matches, rounds or tournaments to protect competitive integrity or platform operations.
6. Public competitive information
- Tournament lists, tournament pages, registered player lists, public profiles, Riot IDs, standings, brackets, results, badges, titles and prize assignments may be visible publicly.
- Private operational data such as lobby codes, private Discord match channels, admin notes and non-public security data must not be shared by players who receive access to it.
- If you register for or play an event, you understand that your competitive participation may be shown publicly as part of the event history.
7. Fair play and prohibited conduct
- No cheating, scripting, botting, exploiting bugs, abusing rate limits, interfering with the service or disrupting other users.
- No match-fixing, result manipulation, fake evidence, account sharing, multi-accounting, smurf abuse or attempts to re-enter after a ban or security hold.
- No harassment, hate speech, threats, doxxing, unlawful behavior or toxic conduct in platform chat, Discord or event communication.
- No attempts to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, internal endpoints, private match data or admin features.
8. Security holds, bans and review
- We may place account creation, queue joins, tournament registration, payouts or other actions on hold when security signals suggest ban evasion, abuse, fraud, payout risk or competitive-integrity risk.
- A security hold is not automatically a ban; you may contact us to request review.
- We may ban or suspend accounts for serious or repeated violations, and may close related accounts where evidence shows evasion or abuse.
9. Novera Points, ratings and virtual rewards
- Novera Points, ratings, badges, titles and progression are virtual items with no monetary value and are not redeemable for cash unless a separate cash prize rule explicitly says otherwise.
- We may adjust, withhold, reset or revoke points, ratings and virtual rewards in cases of error, abuse, cheating, rule violations or format resets.
- Ratings and leaderboards are competitive indicators, not guaranteed rankings, employment opportunities, sponsorships or cash entitlements.
10. Cash prizes, wallet and invite rewards
- Real-money prizes apply only where a specific tournament, agreement or reward program explicitly states cash prizes or wallet credits.
- Cash prize wallet balances are not a bank account, payment account or stored-value product. They represent amounts Novera has marked as payable subject to eligibility, review and payout processing.
- Cash prize payouts, where enabled, are paid only as full-balance EUR SEPA transfers after eligibility checks. Admins may hold, reject or request more information where legal, accounting, security or integrity review requires it.
- Invite and referral rewards are credited only when the program is enabled and the required milestone is met, such as a referred player verifying an eligible game account or playing an eligible first match. We may deny or reverse rewards for self-referrals, fake accounts, abuse, chargeback/fraud risk or rule violations.
- You are responsible for any tax obligations that apply to prizes or rewards you receive.
11. Notifications and Discord community features
- Novera may send in-app notifications about matches, tournaments, teams/social activity, wallet/rewards and account/security events.
- Web push notifications are optional and can be enabled, disabled or filtered by category in your settings where supported by your browser.
- If you connect Discord, Novera may manage roles, channel access and tournament/community messages needed to operate the service.
12. Your content
- You retain your rights in content you submit (e.g. screenshots, clips, chat messages and dispute text).
- You grant Novera a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display and process that content solely to operate, moderate and provide the service, including dispute resolution, tournament integrity, highlights and support.
- You are responsible for your content and must not upload anything illegal, infringing, private without permission, manipulated in a misleading way, or that you do not have the right to share.
13. Enforcement
- We may warn, restrict, suspend or terminate accounts, remove rewards, reverse results, void matches, remove content, restrict payouts or limit Discord access for violations of these Terms or competition rules.
- Where proportionate and possible, we aim to give notice and an opportunity to be heard, but we may act immediately to protect users, platform security, payout integrity or competitive integrity.
14. Disclaimers
- The service is provided "as is" and "as available" during Season 0, without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law.
- We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure or compatible with every device/browser, and bugs, downtime or third-party API outages may occur.
- We are not responsible for outages, errors or policy changes by Discord, Riot Games, browser push providers, hosting providers, payment rails or other third-party services.
15. Liability
- To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Novera is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer under Polish and EU law.
16. Independence and intellectual property
- Novera is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Riot Games, Inc., Moonton or other game publishers unless explicitly stated.
- All third-party game names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners; the Novera name, brand and platform belong to us.
17. Privacy
- Your personal data is processed as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of your agreement with us.
18. Changes to these Terms
- We may update these Terms as the service evolves; we will post the updated version with a new effective date.
- Material changes will be notified where appropriate. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
19. Governing law and disputes
- These Terms are governed by Polish law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules that apply to you.
- As a consumer you may use out-of-court dispute resolution, including the EU ODR platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
- For any question or complaint, contact us first at [email protected].
